Workpool Secures International Investment and
Distribution Opportunity
At the official WorkPool launch in Cape Town today, managing director of Se7enth Sense Technologies, Marius Botha, announced the conclusion of an investment transaction and distribution agreement with Genius Loci Consulting (GLC) for the distribution of Se7enth Sense Technologies' business management software, WorkPool. The London-based GLC, backed by medium-sized venture capitalists, is able to identify, invest in and promote software products to an international market by providing small to medium-sized companies with an established marketing and reselling network in Africa, England and Continental Europe. According to Mr. Paul Stemmet, GLC's IT Service Director, "The investment in WorkPool is one of a number of strategic moves by GLC to secure alliances with quality service and product providers such as Se7enth Sense Technologies to increase GLC's value proposition to our clients and target market." The deal, which takes immediate effect, entails other working agreements between the two companies. One of these entitles Se7enth Sense Technologies access to use GLC's offices and facilities worldwide. In another move, Mr. Gustav van Rooyen, current Marketing and Distribution Consultant for WorkPool and former Channel and Programme Manager at IBM SA has been appointed to GLC's marketing team to facilitate this and other partnership agreements between GLC and local software vendors. He will be assuming his position at GLC's head office in London once current negotiations have been completed.
