Hardware and Software Guidelines

WorkPool is a server-based application. You can access the WorkPool server from any PC or MAC on the same network (LAN, WAN or VPN) through a normal Internet Browser.

Please Note: The Server specifications listed below are guidelines only and the actual server performance and requirement will vary according to the amount of users and modules used in WorkPool as well as the clients data volume and management of the database. WorkPool Server hardware will need to be maintained and upgraded periodically by the client to keep in line with WorkPool features and updates. WorkPool does not take responsibility for setting up, configuring or supporting the clients network environment, P.C. hardware or third party software. This includes, but is not limited to external access to WorkPool and backups.

Processor - AMD Athlon II X2 250, Dual-Core / Intel Pentium E5400, Dual Core / Intel Core i3 530, Dual Core
Memory - 2GB
Hard Drive - Space Requirement 2GB (Excludes attachments)
Network - 100MB
Please note: This configuration is ideal for a company with a small number of users and who do not work with high volumes of email.

Processor - AMD Phenom2 X4 945, Quad Core / Intel Core i5 750, Quad Core / Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
Memory - 4GB
Hard Drive - Space Requirement 2GB (Excludes attachments)

Operating Systems Guidelines:

Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7, Small Business Server) / Linux (Preferably Ubuntu). Please note that technical support for Linux is limited to WorkPool related questions. We do not provide support for configuration of modules or programs such as the FTP server, etc. as this is typically specific to the programs or modules and/or flavour of operating system you are using.

Client Browser Guidelines:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 8 or higher) and Mozilla Firefox (version 3 or higher).
